I was in the office kitchen, it was a Monday afternoon
Gary was there making a coffee and humming a tune
He was a senior designer, always stank of cigars
Had a bit of an ego and a handlebar moustache
“Allo Alice! How are you? Got interesting plans this evening?”
“Hi Gary! I’ve got a German lesson and then just some cleaning.”
“Why you doing that for? Do you want a German boyfriend?”
…I just want to learn German, Gary, you absolute bell-end.
